Cardinal CSD High School Head Principal, Mr. Lehn

posted September 1, 2022

We introduced Mr. Lehn back in March, but now you can get to know him even better as we kick off the school year with our new staff member profiles!

Mr. Lehn, new Cardinal CSD High School Principal and his family.

Why did you want to work at Cardinal?
I grew up in a similar-sized district and knew that Cardinal has an awesome culture in place.

How long have you been teaching?
I taught and coached for thirteen years. This is my third year as an administrator and my first as a head principal.

What is your favorite part of working in education?
I enjoy building positive relationships with parents, students, staff, and community members. I also love working with students and helping them grow into the best version of themselves.

What is your ultimate goal as a principal?
One goal of mine is to support our staff in any way necessary as we transition to the four-day work week. Their growth as educators will lead to my ultimate goal of increased student learning and achievement.

What do you hope students take away from high school this year?
I hope that students are challenged academically and look forward to learning each and every day. I hope they build positive relationships with the staff and their peers, which will ultimately allow them to enjoy their educational experience here at CHS.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
Love the outdoors, sports, and most importantly my family — Suzanne, Violet, and Brielle.

My real endorsement of Cardinal Schools and its faculty and staff can be seen each morning when I hand them the one irreplaceable and most valuable thing in my life: my kids. No letter I write could be a greater endorsement than that simple act. I give them my kids, and I do it with a huge smile on my face because I trust them to do what they are most outstanding at: building our future.
