I am a Fairfield High School graduate of the class of 1979. I attended Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University), Indian Hills Community College and William Penn University. At Wm. Penn I majored in Secondary education and Social Sciences with a minor in English. I received my Masters in Rehabilitation and School Counseling from the University of Iowa. I have been at Cardinal since 1999. I originally worked as the At-Risk Coordinator in the success center and then moved into the MS/HS counseling position in 2005.
I have lived in Ottumwa with my husband Kelley for the last 25 years. However, I am a southeast Iowa native as I grew up 2 miles of Batavia, where my familiesí farm has been in our family since 1876. My Mother, Marian is a former Cardinal employee and worked in Batavia, Eldon and Agency for over thirty years.
I feel real connection to the Cardinal and the community. I look forward to guiding all students through a comprehensive program that includes all areas of the counseling domain: academics, career and personal/social. I am also looking for more ways to involve parents in this process. I am available for calls at ext. 3204 from 7:15-4:00.Back: Staff Directory
