This recognition and our employee feedback tell us that we are on the right path as we work to continuously improve our culture and provide support for our teachers and staff members.

4-Day School Week

Beginning with the 2022/2023 school year, Cardinal Community School District will transition to a four-day school week to give teachers more time to prep for classes and provide built-in time for professional development. Professional development will happen every other Monday.

Project Spark

At Cardinal, we recognize that high levels of stress amongst our staff can negatively affect our students. To combat stress for both our students and our teachers, we've implemented Project Spark. The program, based on books by author Shawn Achor, focuses on four areas of health: emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual.

In order to support staff in all four of those areas, Cardinal has staff members break up into growth groups that match their interests and beliefs. The groups take part in different activities that support the different areas of health such as yoga classes, family events, financial classes, and more.

Company Strengths: Aware Leaders. Our leaders understand what's really happening here.

Company Strengths: Informed Employees. Employees feel informed about important decisions.

I love my job because I can take pride in the work I do. I feel supported and listened to.

I love my job because people respect each other and appreciate how people do their work.

I love my job because I have the best administrators, coworkers and students!

My real endorsement of Cardinal Schools and its faculty and staff can be seen each morning when I hand them the one irreplaceable and most valuable thing in my life: my kids. No letter I write could be a greater endorsement than that simple act. I give them my kids, and I do it with a huge smile on my face because I trust them to do what they are most outstanding at: building our future.
