Handle With Care
We love and care about our students and families. If your family is experiencing a tough situation, your child may bring those feelings to school. Some examples may be a fire, traumatic event, police call, death; really anything.
If we are aware of the situation, we can extend even more attention, love and care your child’s way. There is no need to share details about the situation. Just email, send a note or simply say “Handle With Care” as you drop your child off and we will take it from there. Our number one goal is to create a safe space where your child feels heard, loved and accepted. We are here for you and your family. Thank you for trusting us with your child(ren).
Officer Chris Shadduck is Cardinal’s Handle with Care point of contact who will communicate with the appropriate staff members your student needs support. Officer Shadduck will simply communicate with the stakeholders the child’s name and a simple note “handle with care” so the staff know your student just needs some extra support. Thanks for collaborating with us in supporting kids as a unified approach builds children’s resilience.
