Meet New 5th Grade Teacher Ms. Lenschow!
posted August 25, 2022
Maddie Lenschow is joining the Cardinal team this year to teach 5th grade literacy and social studies. If you see her on campus, be sure to say hello! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit as the school year begins.
Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
When I began to search for a position in the area, I had heard nothing but good things about Cardinal. Having a supportive staff and community are very important to me and this district has both of those things.
How long have you been teaching?
First year.
What do you like about teaching 5th grade?
I am looking forward to teaching 5th grade because of the joy and excitement students get from learning. I have always enjoyed reading and I have been lucky enough to travel to many different places. Teaching both literacy and social studies will allow me to bring my passion for both of these things into the classroom.
What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
I love creating relationships with my students and watching them grow. Having an impact on their education is very special, and I am glad that I get to be a part of it.
What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
I want all students to feel heard and supported in my classroom. Having students experience a positive relationship with their teacher and peers will set them up for a successful future.
What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
I hope that my students are able to learn new information as well as create new friendships.
