Cardinal CSD Special Education and English Teacher Ms. Winter

posted September 15, 2022

Angie Winter is joining the Cardinal team to teach special education and 9th grade English. We are so excited to have her teaching our students! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit as the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?

I wanted to be a part of a school that is interested in innovating and growing. I could also tell within a few minutes of being at Cardinal that people are happy to work here.

How long have you been teaching?
For 6 years.

What do you like about teaching Special Education and English?
I love to read what students write and hear about their opinions on important topics.

What is your favorite part of being a teacher?

Spending time with the students; I love getting to know each of their personalities and finding ways to connect them to the content.

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?

To help students love learning for life.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?

I hope they feel supported by me in achieving their academic goals.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:

I love to reading, biking, kayaking, and traveling to new places.

From our first interaction with the staff at Cardinal schools, we felt at home. The entire staff is amazing and we feel that we have a trusted partner in our children’s education. The greatest testament to their success is that our kids love going to school. There is nothing more welcoming as a parent than to have a school that you trust to take care of the most precious thing in your life. Cardinal School District does just that.
